One of my kids will sometimes grunt rather than speak and I use that phrase…use your words. But words can be imprecise and perhaps a grunt expresses angst in a better way 😂. But, you words get are lovely as is the art. Congrats on the acceptances!
Haha! That’s a good example. I’m sure the monosyllabic grunt gets at something much more deep-seated and existential than any word you could use, lol! Thanks again! I appreciate you!
You’ve found the words here to express that exact inarticulate inside world where meaning is fluid and thoughts and emotions swim with memory and dreams.
Thanks Davin! I make collages for hours and be energized by the endeavor, but It’s the written portions of these newsletters that I struggle with the most, that take the most out of me, that leave me exhausted and depleted.
For sure it makes sense. That making space is where we want to be. It’s like the struggle of stuff like artist’s statements where all of a sudden we are meant to step outside ourselves and explain why people should care about the art.
Interesting one to read today, juxtapositioned alongside what I published this morning🙂. I enjoyed this piece and the art! Congrats on the acceptances!
That particular verse is a poem in itself, Duane, I agree, it's powerful! Bravo @Words in Bloom !
Much appreciated!
Por suerte, el collage es una forma de expresarse sin necesidad de palabras, ni idiomas.
¡Exactamente! ¡Dice todo lo que necesito y mucho más!

It’s funny, if nothing else!

I love the collages. Stunning.
Thank you Jeffrey! I’m so glad to hear that. That’s so kind of you. I really appreciate it!
Your words, your art, Duane, weave together a golden majesty. Never dull, never blunt or inadequate. Golden.
It's always so great hearing from you! Always grateful for your feedback and kindness. Thank you so much!
Beautiful work!! Congratulations on the acceptances!!
Thanks so much Sue! I really appreciate it! No comes the logistics of the 3 hour drive to get them there, haha!

Yes! That opening stanza in your piece is exactly it!
