At one time or another, in one form or other, we all find ourselves isolated in some way.
Secluded in a stark and fragmentary place. Caught between the confinement of things we can't change, the decisions that can't be unmade, and the life that could still be different someday.
Trapped in the interminable tension between solitary introspection and our desire to reach. To reach beyond ourselves and connect to someone or something.
That's where hope is.
Where it lives.
Where it makes itself available to all things.
It's something that happens in the dark. Something buried in the black earth below the surface of the world.
That's how seeds get planted. That's the only way they take root. The only way anything grows.
