Thank you again! What a treat! I am reading your words today as yesterday’s been busy and little time to read. Your words reminded me of requests and prompts when I write poetry for others. You stretch and get out of the comfort zone. Thank you for taking mu challenge. Very grateful. Especially since you’re no fan. Your collage highlights a great lyric!

I really appreciate the request and the opportunity to stretch myself. What I like about this creative practice is the invitation to listen closely. To find one word or phrase to build something on or around that changes be way you see things.

Okay, my challenge: listen to "Vapor Trails," my favorite Rush album. Pick a song. May be harder than you think.

I love Freedom 90. It's a personal liberation song.

It's a song I've heard before, probably even hummed a long to, but it's never been one I've given much thought or attention to. I think that's one of the things I like about this project and about getting suggestions from readers, it's the invention to see things you might not have otherwise seen.

Thanks! I've never been particularly good at documenting the process, but I'm trying to do better.

Really enjoy seeing the process sketches here. As artists we tend to focus so heavily on the finished artifact - but it’s the journey that matters most - thanks for sharing!

Thanks Mark! Sketching is something I do a lot of because...well.. you've seen my "sketches". But I'm putting a lot more thought into typography, trying to think of it and use it not only as a structural element but as a piece of art in and of itself. With that being said, I'm making more of these little doodles.
