Wonderful collage, Duane! Typewriters have an enduring quality to them. I grew up using it and perhaps nostalgia plays a part of it too. That’s so great to hear that you’ve been inspired by Mia’s interview. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I didn't grow up with a typewriter, but it taps into something in me that I just can't get enough of. I think it's the unpredictability, you can press the same key over and over and each time it will look a little differently.

Thanks so much for sharing your perspective so candidly not only in the interview but in your work overall. I appreciate it!

I'll admit that I've done a little bit of research by this point. I'll have to keep an eye out for them, but sooner or later I might just have to order one

I got really lucky with mine. I wasn't looking for it. It found me. I was at antique mall hunting for collage materials. I passed by a booth with what looked to be a 1930s or 40s behemoth of a typewriter. I think the price was a around $200. Way over my budget. As I was turning to leave I saw this much small portable typewriter from the 70s marked 50% off! It was an offer I couldn't refuse!

Sounds almost too good to be true!! I think that's how I'm going to have to find one of my own... leaving it up to a bit of chance and some timely scouring.
