Hi Duane - beautiful collage work, I was searching for art like yours on here, because I wasn't sure if there are many people doing visual art / mixed media stuff on this platform. I'm part of a trio doing similar work, with music and writing each week. Curious what you might think of the collages !
Thanks so much! There is a plethora of amazing visual, mixed media artists here. @no faith @Tammy @Kelly Russo @Richard @Martin Hughes @Celia Crane @Joel Lambeth @Wade Johnston @Sonia Otero @Amy Cowen @Elyse’ Jokinen @Stella Kalaw @Davin Trail-Risk and I know I’m forgetting so many others.
Thanks so much, Robin. I was worried it might be convoluted. I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with and exhausted by language based forms of expression. But, I’m glad something meaningful still came through in some way.
Thank you! I suppose I first started tasting collage about 6 years ago. But, it was probably the 2 years ago that I started letting myself savor, and indulge in it.
You never not impress me - your pieces are a new genre (though collage has been around since illustration became available and artists saw them as broken sentences searching for completion). I see these pieces as smuggled out messages to the world.

Thanks for the shout out, @Duane Toops! I’ll add @Andrea Dixon @Paris Collage Collective and @Cecil Touchon on this thread.
Thank you Stella! There are a couple of names above that I’m not familiar with but you & Duane have put together a stellar list!
See! I knew I was forgetting important people! Kicking myself! Thanks Stella!
My pleasure, Duane!

Reading your words and collage today — deeply meaningful — thank you.

I’m glad you continue in spite of the frustration. I enjoy your ‘stack. And it often lets me pause and consider. :)
Thanks Robin! I appreciate it! I’m glad you get something from it too!
Very much looking forward to getting the magazine normally. Now I'm super excited!
Hope you like it!
Love this and I’m very curious about the timeline of your creative blossoming! When did you start tasting the “marshmallow” of collage?
Thank you! I suppose I first started tasting collage about 6 years ago. But, it was probably the 2 years ago that I started letting myself savor, and indulge in it.
And you’re making us all some tasty treats now too (writings included!)
Thank you! That’s so kind! I appreciate it!
I can really relate to this. I’m always readying for someday…
Congrats on the magazine inclusion!
The older I get the clearer it becomes that ‘someday’ is never coming, it’s best to make the most of what’s available right now.
congrats on issue!
Much appreciated!
I so relate to putting off living until … but the until may never come. Congratulations on the publication!

Just wonderful.
