During the month of May
issued a song title poetry challenge. Nearly everyday had an assigned letter of the alphabet in which participants were invited to choose a band or artist corresponding to that letter and to compose a poem made entirely of their song titles. As some one who relishes the intersection of art and music I was enamored with this idea. I was hoping to participate but I didn't get a chance to.May was a busy month for me. On top of my normal 2 newsletters a week. I had my weekly collaboration with with
. I did two collaborations with , which you can find here, and here. And last but certainly not least I did a two-part collaboration with (part-one here and part-two here)But, after I did a Collage Paper Playlist Collaboration with
I had an idea. What if I asked to compose a song title poem made up of songs from various artists, which would comprise a playlist that I could make a couple pieces of art for? Lucky for all of us, he loved the idea too. Enjoy!Road to Nowhere
Road, river and rail Here comes the rain again Where did your heart go? It doesn't have to be this way Breakout Read my mind Big yellow taxi Here I go again Stranger in Moscow A horse with no name Drop it like it's hot Hyperballad Be mine Bluebeard All flowers in Time Bend towards the sun Song to the siren.
That’s it for this playlist. I hope you loved the collaboration as much as I did. If you have any ideas for future playlists feel free to let me know in the comments.
Take care.
P.S. I’ve been participating in the Index Card a Day Challenge - Day 6-9 below:

I've got too much to say! Where do I start? Duane, thank you these collages you created out of the song title playlist are just amazing. I was not even thinking of the songs as much but the titles' words. They connected me to the final version. The fact that you compiled a playlist and wonderful art that sends my mind on a journey! Heat, flavour, memory lane, pain, joy and most of all dreams! A big bang. Thank you is not enough for the time and creation you've made. Thank you for having the Where did your heart go as the main one. Wham! Superstar work Duane, thank you!
Now I'm thinking of writing poems featuring the titles of my favorite artists *noting to self*
